EasyMoose Running Company began with something simple.
A family tradition.
Our story
The name comes from our two kids, Myah, our "Moose," and Eli, our "Easy." Long before there was a company, there were early morning alarms, race bibs pinned to shirts, finish line photos, and our annual Fourth of July runs together on Amelia Island, Florida. Those miles became more than a tradition. They became part of who we are.
Running has always been woven into our family's story.
I'm Coach K, an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Nutritionist, but long before I earned certifications, I was an athlete. Sports taught me discipline, resilience, and the confidence that comes from doing hard things. As I became a wife and mother, I didn't want to lose that part of myself.
When our kids were still little, I trained for my first marathon.
It wasn't just about checking 26.2 miles off a bucket list. It was about proving to myself that motherhood didn't mean leaving my athletic identity behind. Crossing that finish line reminded me that chasing big goals doesn't stop when you become a parent. In many ways, it becomes even more important because your children are watching.
That belief shapes everything we do today.
My husband, Coach T, took a different path into endurance sports. He started running after we began dating, and what started as a way to spend time together quickly became something our whole family embraced.
While I'm usually the dreamer, Coach T is the mapper.
As a software engineer, he loves solving problems and building systems. While pursuing his own career in software engineering, he's also the person behind the scenes making our races work. From race technology and registration systems to web development, timing logistics, and operational planning, he takes the ideas constantly bouncing around in my head and turns them into organized systems that create a professional race experience.
I'm always asking,
"What if we did this?"
He's already figuring out how to make it happen.
That balance has become one of EasyMoose's greatest strengths.
Of course, no family business would be complete without the rest of the crew.
Myah, our "Moose," is 12 years old and the extrovert of the family. If you've crossed one of our finish lines, there's a good chance you've heard her before you've seen her. She's usually armed with a megaphone, cheering every participant across the finish line with the same excitement whether they're first or last. When she's not at a race, she's probably on the phone catching up with friends.
Eli, our "Easy," is 9 years old and has earned the title of family gamer. He's also our resident tree climber and outdoor explorer. You'll usually find him helping at our events, although he's also the one quietly asking, "Is it almost time to go home yet?" after a long day at the race.
Then there are our unofficial mascots.
Henry is our Rough Collie and professional greeter. He loves everyone he meets and never turns down an opportunity to tag along if there's an adventure involved.
Mau, our gray cat, has a story of his own. Coach T always considered himself a dog person...until Mau showed up. Now the two are practically inseparable, and somehow our software engineer became a cat person almost overnight.
Together, we've combined our passions to build something bigger than either of us could have created alone.
EasyMoose Running Company isn't just about organizing races.
It's about creating experiences that encourage people to believe they're capable of more than they thought possible. Whether it's someone walking their very first mile, crossing their first finish line, or chasing a new personal record, we believe every achievement deserves to be celebrated.
What started as family miles has grown into a family mission.
Our kids continue to inspire our name, our logo, and our vision for the future. Every race, every training plan, every Track Night, and every finish line is built with the hope that another family will discover the same joy that running has brought to ours.
The dreamer. The mapper. The Moose. The Easy.
Four people.
One family.
One mission.
